The Pain of Rain

drenched i was and driven blind,
with no place to hide a while;
i turned inward to search my mind,
but find nought for shelter but bile.

so on and on i defied the rain's blast,
'cos i knew t'will all in a moment be gone,
when i do arrive home to mine at last,
the warmth, food and wine will it all undone
